Nestling on the award winning Heritage Coast and Welsh Coastal Path at Southerndown, in the Vale of Glamorgan (an area of outstanding beauty), our quirky Shepherd’s Hut is perfectly positioned. A picturesque stroll through Slade Gardens, awarded the Best Walking Spot in 2019 on the South Wales Coast by Country Living, you find yourself at a sandy beach perfect for a quick dip before breakfast! Enjoy coastal beach walks surfing swimming and cycling. We are 15 minutes from J35 on the M4 Motorway.

The Shepherds Hut has a comfy double bed, table and chairs and a wood burner. The cooking area is outside under parasols, there is a camping gas hob. Outside seating areas include 2 chairs on wooden veranda/decking and picnic table on cockled terrace. The hot shower and flushing loo are about 130m away in a purpose built washroom. We have wifi and electricity. Mobile reception extremely patchy. Please bring a torch and wellies!

~ 5 minute walk from the Shepherd’s Hut to Southerndown Beach

Had a lovely stay in the Shepherd’s Hut, the stove kept us warm even in a huge storm! Great location and beautiful walk down to the beach through bluebell woods. Thank you!
